At The Tallow Shed, we return to this simple, traditional approach: skincare made with ingredients the body already understands.
Tallow isn't a trendy new ingredient - it’s a time-tested one.
And so we developed it for ourselves and for our children, and knew exactly what went into every product, keeping batches small to secure quality.
Our products are certified but are always tested on ourselves and loved ones first to make sure they hit the mark, making an immediate lift towards better, healthier skin.

Why tallow works so well for skin
1. Skin-compatible fats
Tallow contains fatty acids that are very similar to those in our own skin barrier.
These include:
- Oleic acid
- Palmitic acid
- Stearic acid
- Palmitoleic acid
Because of this similarity, tallow absorbs easily and helps support the skin’s natural protective barrier rather than sitting heavily on the surface.
Many people find it leaves skin feeling deeply nourished rather than coated.
